The MISSION STATEMENT articulates the purpose of our church, why we exist and why we strive to perpetuate our existence as an organization.  The purpose of Calvary Baptist Church (La Puente) is:

To glorify the Lord by preparing Godly believers 
to live and proclaim the Gospel. 

Glorify the Lord: Everything we seek to do as a church is done to please God and render honor and glory unto Him.

Preparing Godly Believers: Discipleship and training is the means through which the church perpetuates and spreads the gospel.

Live and Proclaim the gospel: Spiritual sanctification and separation is the co-requisite to spreading the gospel.  The most persuasive witness is the life of the believer.

The VISION STATEMENT is what we ultimately expect to see accomplished through the execution of our mission statement.  The vision of Calvary Baptist Church (La Puente) is:  

Every believer an active minister, empowered and released according to his or her spiritual giftedness and ability.A unified spiritual army equipped to introduce the world to Jesus Christ through the proclamation and personal witness of the Gospel. 

Active Minister: Every member of the church, through his/her spiritual giftedness, is expected to actively carry out his/her respective ministry within the context of the church mission.

Empowered: Every member of the church is expected to be filled, guided, and directed by the Holy Spirit, boldly and confidently carrying out their ministry.

Released: Every member of the church is free to discern and develop his/her spiritual gifts and exercise them accordingly.

Spiritual Giftedness: Every member of the church is gifted by the Holy Spirit, as indicated in the Scriptures.

Unified Spiritual Army: Every member of the church is expected to work in tandem with each other, acknowledging that unity is the only way the church can carry out its mission efficiently and effectively.

Proclamation and Personal Witness: Every member is expected to fulfill the great commission in word and in action as set forth in the Scriptures.

OUR FOCUS IS TO FULFILL THE THREE E's:

EXALTATION (Upward Focus): We strive to be a church that exalts God in everything that we do (Colossians 3:23).

EDIFICATION (Inward Focus): We strive to become more Christ-like through the renewing of our minds (Romans 12:1,2).

EVANGELIZATION (Outward Focus): We strive to introduce the lost to the Gospel message of Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:19,20).
